Escape From Chronos
Escape From Chronos is a tower defense where the Greek gods are your towers. This free demo holds the first two battlefields of the campaign and the first 8 waves of the endless mode, and plays right here in your browser. The full game is planned for Steam for Windows on October 30.
It starts simply: drag a god onto the ground beside the road. The depth comes from what follows: a specialization for each god, who each one targets, 15 ultimates and the relics you draft mid-battle.
How this game was made
Character, enemy and environment art were generated with AI tools, then curated, edited and integrated by the developer. Music and sound are synthesized in-engine from scores written into the game's code; the game ships no audio files and no AI audio-generation tools were used. The code, including those scores, was written by the developer with AI assistance. The game contains no live/runtime AI generation.

In the demo
- I. The Drowned Coast: 12 waves against Oceanus. The tide surges on a cycle, and when it rises the whole legion quickens.
- II. The Scorched Heights: 14 waves on two roads at once, against Hyperion, whose light disables every god near him. It opens when the Drowned Coast is held.
- The Unending Hour, the endless mode, up to wave 8, with shareable rival codes.
- All 15 gods. Each has an ultimate, ready again every wave, and chooses one of two specializations at Level 5.
- Place gods anywhere beside the road, even mid-wave, and choose who each one targets first.
- Clear a mini-boss wave and pick one relic for that battle.
- Every battle, won or lost, earns Favor for permanent boons.
- Lose, and the end screen shows what broke through, your worst wave and which gods did the damage.
- Titanomachy, the hard mode, on both battlefields.
Your progress saves in this browser. It does not carry over to the Steam version, and a private window forgets it when you close it.
Controls
- Mouse: drag a god from the Pantheon on the right onto open ground, or click a god and then the ground. Click a placed god for its stats, upgrades and target priority.
- Keyboard: Space pauses, Esc opens the pause menu, and 1, 2 and 3 set the speed (x1, x2, x3).
- Controller (a standard pad such as an Xbox controller, in a browser that supports one): the left stick moves a cursor, A selects, B backs out, Y begins the wave, X changes speed, LB and RB pick a god, Start pauses.
- Sound starts with your first click on a menu button.
- Fullscreen: the button at the bottom right of the game, or Settings > Fullscreen. If the keys or the controller stop answering after that, click once inside the game.
